Evaluation of Bacillus velezensis Biocontrol Potential against Fusarium Fungi on Winter Wheat

نویسندگان

چکیده

Fungi of the genus Fusarium are economically significant pathogens in most wheat-growing regions worldwide. The biocontrol agents Bacillus velezensis BZR 336 g and 517 were tested for growth inhibition F. graminearum 4. results demonstrated that strains capable deforming destroying hyphae. modified bioautography technique showed produce iturin A surfactin, which probably explains mechanism pathogen inhibition. Furthermore, lipopeptides detected identified two samples by HPLC-HRMS. Compounds such as surfactin their isomers homologues found both samples. An experiment on an artificial infectious background a climatic chamber established biological effectiveness is close to chemical references. Cultivation plants with B. likely reduce stress load. efficacy up 45.0% was determined bioagents field trials, while yield 7.9 t/ha. use provides environmentally friendly approach control rots wheat, reduction pesticide load, hence quality harvest.

Evaluation of biocontrol potential of Pseudomonas and Bacillus spp. against Fusarium wilt of chickpea

In this study, antagonistic effects of 6 isolates of Pseudomonas and 6 isolates of Bacillus genera isolated from rhizosphere of chickpea were evaluated against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris as potential biocontrol agents in vitro and in vivo. Fungal inhibition tests were performed using plate assay. Each isolate were tested for the production of protease, siderophore, cyanide hydrogen, indo...

Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi: Biocontrol against Fusarium Wilt of Chickpea

The present study shows the status of mycorrhization in three test varieties of chickpea. As the results revealed irrespective to the crops when arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) were assessed under the influence of soil quality better results were obtained with unsterile soil in comparison to sterile soil. Chickpea variety ICC 11322 showed the best result against the Fusarium wilt and chickpe...

Diffusible and Volatile Antifungal Compounds Produced by an Antagonistic Bacillus velezensis G341 against Various Phytopathogenic Fungi

The aim of this study was to identify volatile and agar-diffusible antifungal metabolites produced by Bacillus sp. G341 with strong antifungal activity against various phytopathogenic fungi. Strain G341 isolated from four-year-old roots of Korean ginseng with rot symptoms was identified as Bacillus velezensis based on 16S rDNA and gyrA sequences. Strain G341 inhibited mycelial growth of all phy...

An attempt to protect winter wheat against Fusarium culmorum by the use of rhizobacteria Pseudomonas fluorescens and Bacillus mycoides.

Inoculation of wheat seeds with two strains of Pseudomonas fluorescens (III107 and II21) and two strains of Bacillus mycoides (JC192 and K184) isolated from winter wheat roots, as well as with one strain of P fluorescens (ID13) isolated from oat roots, reduced the negative influence of Fusarium culmorum on winter wheat in a 28 day pot experiment. The bacterial strains (especially III107 and chi...

biocontrol potential of root endophytic fungi and trichoderma species against fusarium wilt of lentil under in vitro and greenhouse conditions

lentil wilt, caused by fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lentis is one of the main limiting factors to successful lentil cultivation. effect of four antagonistic fungi, namely: piriformospora indica, sebacina vermifera, trichoderma viride and trichoderma harzianum as well as combinations among them were evaluated against fusarium wilt of lentil. in in vitro experiments, the effect of the antagonistic f...
